We Do Not Support "Doodles"

Dawning Hope Poodles does not support the act of "doodling". Doodling is a direct result of the poodle hate of the early 2000's. Poodles were seen as "froofu", high maintenance, and temperamental, which is not the case. Doodles are simply a subpar version of an amazing breed. With no consistency in temperament, size, coat texture, or drive, there is no guarantee you will be getting what you want. As merle is not naturally occurring in our breed, merle poodles are doodles with hung papers.

We will NEVER sell a dog to a doodle breeder, a breeder who has merle dogs or dogs from merle lines, or anyone who intends on breeding soley for profit and not for the benefit of the breed.

Memberships

I am proud to be a member of two poodle-specific clubs. United Poodle Association is the National Breed Club for UKC. Versatility In Poodles is an independent breed club that advocated for well-rounded poodles and fundraises for poodle-specific health research. It is important that breeders join breed-specific clubs to ensure they are up to date on breed knowledge and to foster a sense of community in the breed.

I am also a member of our local dog club - Dog Training Club of Tampa. I am both a trainer there and a student there. Local dog clubs are great resources for training.  Supporting your local dog club can help increase the number of sport events in your area and much more.
